My dreams come true

I’ve always loved the Simpsons and I’m looking forward to the new movie when it comes out. I also reckon I would be a character who could add value and entertainment to the already valuable and entertaining show. So, following the lead of Ross, I have just created my Simpson family likeness on the website for the new movie:

DC Simpsons

As you can see, I’m a pretty boring-looking character. Maybe I won’t add value and entertainment?

Film review: Stick It

Below average flim, great perv.

Roaming

Yesterday I went to a special screening of uber-cool MTB movie Roam. It’s made by The Collective, who I made mention to a few posts ago. I must say, after the ground-breaking work that was done for the original Collective film, I was expecting Roam to be very new and different again. Unfortunately, it was very similar to its predecessor. There were lots of the same riders (including Ryan Leech, who is a superstar), some of the locations were the same as was the camera work. Don’t get me wrong, it was very entertaining and I will probably buy a copy on DVD, but I thought it could have been better.

Thunderball

I would like to draw your attention to a great musical group who call themselves Thunderball. The duo of Steve Raskin and Sid Barcelona are signed to ESL Music and have two full-length EP releases.

As quoted on their website:
“Thunderball expertly craft cinematic, dub-laden compositions full of intrigue, effortlessly changing tempos between D&B, breakbeat and downtempo…drawing from their love of ‘60s cinema, Brazilian beats and Afro funk rhythms, to create explosive soundscapes designed for modern spy chases and late night encounters.”

I first heard their music on the soundtrack to The Collective, one of the best MTB films ever produced.

When you get the opportunity, check out both the music and the film.

Homer hits the big screen

News today is that the Simpsons will “star” in a feature length movie to be released in 2007. All I have to say is: It’s about time!!
