Have you ever thought to yourself: “Gee, I love this playlist I’m listening to, I bet it would get the crowd pumping!”? Well now you have the opportunity to put it to the test.
There is a rising phenomenon of iPod nightclubs and dance parties happening all over the place. Basically, you rock up with your ‘Pod in pocket, take a number and wait. Numbers are drawn out of a hat and that person gets some time to spin some tunes. The appeal is that you have the same chance of being called to the DJ booth to play your fav. tunes as Sasha or Phil K would have. Also, I guess you get a nice eclectic mix of music to listen to as well.
I still don’t think I would prefer it to jumping on my Technics and playing real records, but that’s a personal choice I suppose.
